I was paying $35-$55 for a 6+MB down/1MB up in Washington Here in Alaska we are paying $70 for 4MB down /512KB up, which is an improvement over what they had just a short time ago but still does not compete with lower 48 internet speeds/prices I heard they were supposed to up their power extreme modems on April 25 2010 to 10mb/1mb, but I didnt see that speed increase until rather recently Yes thank you for bringing this pos that GCI is dealing all of us alaskans, by screwing us over with slow speeds and high prices.

I'm glad someone else is noticing the trend which GCI is following, and how they are getting away with shorting Alaskans of good service.
