I was paying $35-$55 for a 6+MB down/1MB up in Washington
Here in Alaska we are paying $70 for 4MB down /512KB up, which is an improvement over what they had just a short time ago but still does not compete with lower 48 internet speeds/prices

I heard they were supposed to up their power extreme modems on April 25 2010 to 10mb/1mb, but I didnt see that speed increase until rather recently</description>

I&#039;m glad someone else is noticing the trend which GCI is following, and how they are getting away with shorting Alaskans of good service.
