Podcast leaps to TV

Alaska HDTV began as an audio only show back in 2005, but has quickly become a video podcast that’s making the leap from the small screen to the TV. In the press release, I talk about the basics of how Alaska HDTV is now being seen on TVs inside all 130 Fred Meyer stores in the USA. More important than the sheer volume of eyes that will be seeing the podcast excerpts on TV, is that we’ve managed to transcend the stigma of a being an internet only production. MacHaus is currently celebrating their “Grand Opening” event for their new store recently opened in Anchorage, Alaska.  MacHaus is a locally owned and operated Apple sales and authorized service center with three locations around the State.  I recently met with the owner, Ben Schaafsma to get the scoop on MacHaus and learn a little more about what they’re all about. WiMax arrives in Anchorage

AT&T quietly rolled the announcement on their homepage recently that WiMax is now available in the Anchorage area. Reading the fine print, it’s obvious they’re not reaching everywhere in town yet.  The $19.95 price point looks attractive at first, but you can quickly deduct they are trying to rope you in on the low end bundle deal with local and long-distance plans then tacking on the less-than-interesting 384K Internet option.  As much as I am really excited about WiMax, this really stinks. iPhone 3G Alaska

The iPhone is no doubt a great device and will only get better with the expected hardware update.
