Mobile Geek

Alaska certainly has its share of geeks, techies and entrepreneurial minds. The FrigidGeek blog run by a local high school student (Tyler) is dedicated to the mobile lifestyle. He shares some of the same frustrations I’ve briefly covered in my posts about the lack of competitive options in Alaska.

Technology geek

Tyler took this photo from Flat Top Mountain just above Anchorage, Alaska in his post “Where I do my homework…“.

The Podcaster
Speaking of Flat Top, check out this video podcast from another local technorati, Scott Slone.

The Alaska PodShow Podcast is a great resource for high quality videos and podcasts from south central Alaska. Scott’s latest installments of the Hike of the Week has attracted a fairly large audience from around the world.

You can subscribe to his podcasts/shows via iTunes or RSS.

Others out there?
I’m sure there are quite a few other geeks in Alaska that I’ve not covered here, but these two I know personally and can vouch for their commitment to making great content and doing good things.

If you know of any other great techie blogs, let me know and I’ll do some write ups on them too!
